I had problems when I used the 'samplepatchcatalog' created w/ blcontent. I created a new one and I was set. Could be coincidence. I was running this on a vm on my laptop.... not a big box.
Well, our filters are set for RHEL5 x86 + x64, which yields to 4000+ patches. It really feels like RHN might be disconnecting some of the connections, so therefore I'm thinking we need to change the number of threads trying to hit RHN at the same time.
I had this issue in VPC 7.6 BL when trying to do 100 threads at a time. Bad idea. Keeping it to 5 concurrent threads, it worked even when it had 8000+
packages to download.
Not sure if that helps you or not.
I am having the same issues patching BL 8.0 on RHEL 5. Did anyone solved this issue? anf if yes, can you please let me know the solution?
Can you describe your catalog setup? (filters, timeouts, etc)
Have you verified your rhn credentials?
Can you paste in logs from the CUJ run?
i am downloading RHN patches using offline downloader and it missed out some of patches because of which my patch catalog update always fails. Its not working for any of the red hat filter.
there is a newer version of the offline downloader (sp6 or sp7) that should be on the EPD site.
also, can you look through your log and see if there are errors w/ the specific rpms?
or, are these RPMS part of one of the child channels (Cluster, Virtualization) ?
