I just reinstalled one of my appservers to give it a local DB and local fileserver (for speed) - it used to be part of a multisite config. Fileserver is set up in database as server "blandfs", which is defined in /etc/hosts:
220.127.116.11 blsjrep001.mydomain.com blsjrep001 blandfs
and database knows it is mounted at /data2:
# df -k /data2
Filesystem 1K-blocks Used Available Use% Mounted on
/dev/cciss/c0d1p1 70528000 86136 66859220 1% /data2
However, appserver won't start, error is:
[08 Mar 2010 12:07:12,047] [main] [INFO] [::] [Appserver] Retrieving property values for host: blandfs
[08 Mar 2010 12:07:12,052] [main] [ERROR] [::] [Appserver] Connection refused: blandfs
Why would it refuse access to itself? And what do I do about it? No directories were configured in /data2 as part of install, I haven't found anything in installation docs that describes doing this - is that what I'm missing? Please advise, and TIA. This is BL 7.4.3 on RH Linux.
Never mind - luser error. I'd changed the port the agent was listening on and forgot to restart agent - duh!
