    AppServer.console.log vs. AppServer.log files in /br directory

      Hi,

We have a configuration and job server running on our BladeLogic server.  Each one has two sets of logs:

Config App Server LogsJob App Server Logs
      ConfigAppServer1.console.log
      ConfigAppServer1.console.log.1
      ConfigAppServer1.console.log.2
      ConfigAppServer1.console.log.3
      ConfigAppServer1.console.log.4
      ConfigAppServer1.console.log.5
      ConfigAppServer1.log
      ConfigAppServer1.log.1
      ConfigAppServer1.log.2
      ConfigAppServer1.log.3
      ConfigAppServer1.log.4
      ConfigAppServer1.log.5
      JobAppServer1.console.log
      JobAppServer1.console.log.1
      JobAppServer1.console.log.2
      JobAppServer1.console.log.3
      JobAppServer1.console.log.4
      JobAppServer1.console.log.5
      JobAppServer1.log
      JobAppServer1.log.1
      JobAppServer1.log.2
      JobAppServer1.log.3
      JobAppServer1.log.4
      JobAppServer1.log.5

I understand the rollover copies (1 thru 5), but how come there is a console.log and a regular appserver.log version?  Looking into each set, the data is similar but the console.log files seem to have a little bit more, especially whenever an app server hangs or crashes.

Why are there two sets for each app server?  What's the point of having the appserver.log if the appserver.console.log contains the same data and more? Where can this be changed?  I didn't see anywhere in the appserver.cf file that had a place to change this configuration.

      Thanks in advance!
