i believe either will work for the network url.
what i've found (maybe you can confirm) is that if the job downloads (-m d) then it puts in in the WORKDIR/Patches, regardless of what you have that network url set to.
You are correct the network path didn't change where files were downloaded to... the Local dir made that change but i then got annother error.
The error stated that a file in the modules folder could not be found.... but the path was based on the new local dir path not /usr/nsh/patch
I think it was using a relitive path to ../../ so I changed the local path back to the original dir and setup a symlink to the new path.
thhis seemed to work
I think the symlink is causing a problem when deploying patchs.
has anyone else tried this and had a problem?
also after the install has started to download patches to one location can you thru setting tell it to move to a new location?
Just a heads up ....
I was unaware that the network URL was stored in a Patch Packages.
It was causing my errors...Once the Patches were deleted and the Analysis was run to recreate them with the new Network URL everything is working again.
