check the permissions in /usr/nsh/tmp - it looks like you just started the appserver up as root (from the commandline) and not the bladmin user, which means your perms will be messed up now.
is there an AppServerProfiles.xml file in the /usr/nsh/br dir ?
do you have a demo linux install you can look at for perms ?
i think the /usr/nsh/tmp should be owned by root:bin - check the forums for that
Thanks Bill. I will check the forum at your suggestion and get the admin to verify tmp file permissions tomorrow when he gets in.
Thank you Bill! That was the answer. The forums referenced the problem but did not list the specific files affected so I worked with Alan in support. Resolution is below for future reference of others.
Chown –R bladmin:bladmin /usr/nsh/br/bnp
Chown –R bladmin:bladmin /usr/nsh/tmp/application_server
Chown bin:bin /usr/nsh/tmp
Start app back up from /etc/init.d start script.
