    Error setting the license key on host ___: Permission denied?

      In our addserver script, there is a section to license a server:

      sub license_server()

      {

      print_debug "Licensing server $server"

      autolic "$MERCK_WS_USER" "$MERCK_WS_PWD" $server

      print_debug "Licensing complete."

      }

      I see the following error sometimes - what does it mean and what should I do?

      Error setting the license key on host servername: Permission denied

          It may sound obvious but there is a permissions problem.

          The issue is that once you license an agent (including

          temoprary licenses) the user mapping goes into effect.

          To help debug this you should add a:

          agentinfo $server

          before the "autolic ..." line to see what effective permissions

          you have on the remote server. Chances are they are not what

          you need to update the license file (e.g. on Unix servers you

          need to have root permissions).
