NAS & mapped drives on Windows

Currently we don't support NAS / mapped drives on Windows, since drives aren't mapped on Windows until you log into the machine. Has anyone come up with this in the field and created workarounds for it?

At Merck they wanted to install our infrastructure on Windows servers with a NAS mounted file server, but due to this problem we had to install on a Linux machine. At a current client they want to push software to NAS mounted drives on Windows servers for a particular application they are managing.

Mark Jeffery suggested leaving the servers constantly logged in, which may be an option, but are there any other solutions people have come across?
