If it's not there, you can create a new OS definition - in the PM gui goto Tools | Configurations and create a new OS definition for ESX 3.5, of type ESX.
Just create new System Package Type for ESX 3.5?
OK, I will try to this setting.
BladeLogic 7.4.3 is officially supporting a System Package for ESX 3.5.
Is this correct? I mean, BL 7.4.3 can distributes ESX 3.5 into Bare-Metal Serber.
The docs seem to read that there would be an ESX 3.5 system package type pre-created, I would follow up w/ support on this.
You will still need to follow the instructions for loading the datastore for ESX - you need to add wget to the ESX repository (in the install guide pdf)
ESX uses kickstart which is a common bare-metal provisioning technology (and ESX is basically a version of RedHat Enterprise Linux)
OK, I will try it.
Thank you for your reply!!
Umesh and Tony helped us configure ESX 3.5. It's definitely "do-able." Based on what I've heard, the older versions of BladeLogic required more configuration to get it working than version 7.4.5.
What release are you on?
