Usually, if you can unset the value on servers, that will let you edit it, then re-assign it to the servers. That doesn't always work though.
Yeah in this case I've tried that and it won't let me edit/remove these entries. Most of the ones I want to remove don't have anything associated with them anymore.
Running db cleanup might help, the property value settings are probably associated w/ old objects that haven't been removed from the db.
but if that doesn't do it, i think you are more or less stuck.
property manipulation is something that is being worked on as new versions come out, so this type of thing should hopefully improve.
Thanks for the info. The db cleanup was the first thing I tried. Guess I'll be patient. Thanks again.
Open a ticket w/ support for this too, squeaky wheel and all :)
I seem to be stuck in similar situation with a couple of custom server properies - a result of trying to experiment with repeater routing rules (BL 8.0 SP5). Created a couple of rules, removed them, did not specify any values.
then I noticed that all servers have 2 extra properties now corresponding to 2 custom classes
1) deleted repeater and routing rules in Infrastructure Management
2) try to delete the 2 custom classes for those rules - I can't (tells me they are in use and can only be deprecated but I don't want that - I want to remove these 2 new server properties completely)
is this the same problem as in the original post even though the original post is from 2009?
this is still a problem. try to set the value to the detault (blue arrow) on all server objects, run db cleanup and then try the delete.
