Yeah, tried it. But it yells at me that TARGET.HOST is not a property.
This is now support ticket #19119
Long time ago...
but currently we have the same issue with version 8.1.02.
Was there any solution to get the TARGET class?
what class are you creating this property in?
and what blcli are you using to get the value ?
sorry I realized that the discussed topic is not really reflecting my current porblem.
For example, we want to set TARGET.HOST inside the console at a nsh script at parameters tab as default value. But in the dropdown list there isn't the TARGET class available and when we manually enter ??TARGET.HOST?? we get an error.
so if you use the drop down there to fill in the value, that works?
and then if you echo that arg in the script, what's the value?
also, for your specific example, you shouldn't need to pass the server as a property name. it's either already CD'd to the target in a type 1 script or you pass in the list w/ a %h in a type 2 script.
I edited my recent post at the same time you answered.
I realized now that the original topic was about a different issue.
Please take a look at my previous post, I added some more information.
And yes you are right I can use %h :-)
We want to code a little script which licenses our unlicensed agents using autolic.
autolic <user> <passw> %h should work, right?
what version of bladelogic is this?
i have a nsh script job, when i click on the property drop down i have a TARGET> where i can select TARGET.HOST
can you scen a screenshot of when you expand that property drop down?
