    VMware ESX hates BL Packages?

Have BL agent installed, appears to be working. Live tree is there, can deploy simple BL packages to /tmp on ESX hosts. But /tmp does not require root level access.

Whenever we try anything that requires root level access, even something as simple as placing a text file in /root, which is obviously owned by root, we get the following in the job logging...

WARNING: The effective user does not have Administrator privileges. It is highly recommended that this action be performed as a user with Administrator privileges on the remote machine. Results will vary when run as a user without these privileges.

And of course the apply owner and apply group properties to the text file fail, and so the BL package auto-rolls back.

Anyone see this behavor as well?
