the 'auth_profile=defaultProfile' needs to match the name of the profile you logged in the CM GUI with.
I have closed all CMGUI sessions, deleted all my cached credentials, deleted the directory "C:\Documents and Settings\mkreger\Application Data\BladeLogic" and logged into CMGUI again with the defaultProfile. I have also done all the above and just used blcred to acquire credentials, I always get the same error when I launch nsh.
you have to authenticate w/ blcred or the cm gui (w/ the 'cache session creds' checked) before running nsh.
running nsh won't prompt you for authentication, it wants the creds already cached.
This I understand, but it's not working. Hence, this question posted.
C:\>blcred cred -acquire -profile defaultProfile
Authentication succeeded: acquired session credential
SSO Error: Cannot find proxy service URL because no service URLs in the cached credential matched the current authentication profile
Error in Initializing RBAC User and Role (SSO Proxy)
Network Shell can be used for local access
can you run a:
blcred cred -list
and post the result?
C:\>blcred cred -list

ah, I don't think the nsh proxy is configured on the appsever.
there should be a service url for the nsh proxy.
That's it. Thanks Bill.
I have the same error as Matt

I am using the correct authprofile and I do have the SSO Proxy port and Control port configured on my NSH proxy service. Only difference is I have two app server instances, one acting as a config server with the NSH proxy configured and the second as a Job server. The Job instance should connect to the NSH proxy instance to execute the NSH script jobs?
It looks like you are getting the below error when using/logging into the console? Check to make sure that your machine hosting the console can resolve SERVER in the url “service:appsvc.bladelogic:blsess://SERVER:9941”. This is commonly seen when people try to use aliases or just the short name when the application server itself resolves its FQDN.
