make your part '/c/windows/system32/spool/drivers' and recurse on it.
then make your compliance rule like:
file: /c/windows/system32/spool/drivers/**/driver.dll must exist and meet these conditions...
that should pick up all the possible locations under drivers/
Bill - came accross another scenario.
I want to snapshot, as part of a Component Template, all *.dll files under C:\windows\system32. If i follow the steps above, it will basically recurse through all of the system32 subdirectory. What if I only want to recurse files matching DLL extension? (i.e. only DLLs show in the Browse, Snapshot/audit, and for compliance)
In the 'part' for the directory you can specify the 'recurse' and the 'includes'. Include '.dll' or '*.dll'. This should work for snapshot and audits, but not live browse (I think the filter in browse is coming).
I tried this for looking at certain registry entries, but I couldnt get it to work quite right.
The settings are under HKEY_CURRENT_USER\ XXXX. I configured my template with several different variations with no luck.
Is it different for looking at the registry, or is it because I'm trying to look at HKEY_CURRENT_USER\?
Any help would be awesome!
