Out of the Box the only way to see those attributes is by looking at the relationship since they exist in the Relationship itself.
Yea, it feels strange these attributes are hidden away. I've looked if they maybe was displayed in during mouse hover over the relationship, but not even there. Makes it difficult for an ordinary user to find the exact location. Unfortunately customization is needed then.
I see it the same way. The concept between asset and CI and now also the new relationship with attributes does not seem conclusive. Here, practical examples were certainly helpful to understand what BMC was thinking with the last extension.
You do not add attributes if they cannot be used in the normal support business, do you?
