Make sure that the categories are added to the templatefor them to show up.

Not sure which template do you mean or where to configure that.
In SRM:CategoryManagement i have all that nav cat, but even that "Global" one does not apper in DWP.
if you are using Digital workplace advanced, you have to go to Digital Workplace advanced console that import the service from it and then import the categories (see Below screenshot) , after that you have to go to template from same console (see Below screenshot) and select that category you have imported to the template you are using with the services request. for sure you need to attach some services to these categories to appear to end users.
and when i don't have Enhanced Catalog?
It would be enough to select it for whole company... so all users from Company1 could see Catalog list from Company1 and Company2.
This is can happen in case the user logged in belongs to both Company (A&B) in the access restriction part in people profile form.
This needs to be tested first to make sure how the system working in such kind of this case, otherwise need to log a case with BMC to check it further.
