Once the controlm server and agent are v19, it is very easy to use cm4db.
In your current environment its slightly more difficult but still pretty easy. (I guess the degree of ease is subjective :-)
The steps in both cases are:
1. Install cm4db on the agent you want to run the db jobs from
2. Configure a Connection Profile for the databases you want to run db jobs against
3. Create the jobs
Steps 2 & 3 are the same now or in the future when everything is on v19.
Step 1 now requires you to download cm4db software from bmc's epd site, move it to the agent host where you will install it and run the install.
Step 1 when everything is v19 will be easier as you can push (deploy) cm4db to the agents that need it via ccm gui, without having to manually download it and place it on the agent host. In v18, and above, the cm4db is part of the Application Pack so is deployed via ccm gui.
