    Approval process and the Servicedesk Staff checkbox

      i have a request definition that immediately submits for approval upon submission.

       

      Scenario 1

      If the submitter has the ServiceDesk Staff checkbox checked in their User record, when the request is submitted - it sits spinning..

       

      workaround:

      Once i remove the check from the ServiceDesk Staff checkbox and the user resubmits the request, it completes as expected..(submits immediately for approval, etc.)

       

      Scenario 2

      I remove the check from the request definition that submits immediately for approval

       

      If the submitter has the ServiceDesk Staff checkbox checked in their User record, when the request is submitted the request submits as expected

      I can manually submit for approval from the service request successfully

       

      Does anyone have any idea why i am unable to immediately submit for approval under Scenario 1?
