Mass deletion of Requestors in TrackIT 2020

The TrackIT Active Directory import isn't granular enough. I needed to only get a small subset of the folks within the OU that holds all of my university's users. So now I have 100k requestors and having to delete them one page at a time. Cannot find anyone else in the forums that was as stupid as I was so...

Anyone out there with an idea?

          Hi Chip,

If you are setting up Track-It! 2020 with a fresh install and haven't started using it, you could delete Requestors directly from the "customer" table in the database, like DELETE * FROM _SMDBA_._CUSTOMER_, however if you already have Tickets associated with Requestors the associations between them would be lost. Is this a fresh installation, or are you migrating from 11.4?

Always get a good DB backup before doing anything like this with the database.

Already migrated (all data) from 11.4 to 20.20 and in production. I guess I'll need to manually remove them based on your response.

Unfortunately yes it sounds like it. You're not the first to have had this occur, if that helps at all. :-) Best practice is to create AD Groups for Technicians and Requestors, keep them up to date and let Directory Importer handle the rest. It can be a bit to set up if you have a lot of Requestors but is worth it in the long run.

If you find the rest of this setup to be difficult, or if you have a need for consulting services with any aspect of Track-It!, please feel free to let me know here or by direct message. I can definitely help you get the most out of it, in an efficient manner. Thanks!
