Maybe a "quit" or something has to be written to the channel to close the connection properly?

I had an issue with monitoring Remedy ARS ports. LWP KM was the cause of Remedy ARS to stop responding.
By default LWP KM first creates SSL socket and it looks like this is the problem for Remedy ARS.
Solution was to set SSLSockectPortAvailability (yes there is a typo in the "Sockect") to "false" in PATROL_HOME/Patrol3/PIM/Conf/Properties/pim.properties:
and restart Patrol Agent.
When SSL socket port availability is disabled then Remedy ARS ports are not affected and we can monitor ARS ports.
