    How to list only the latest versions of rpms for Oracle Linux

      When using an include list with RPM-based Patching  For Oracle, and the include list contains several versions of the kernel and related RPMs, how can I analyze for only the latest version of the package?

      We have significant differences in packages while patch analysis and local system yum update.

      and the patch remediation fails due to the installation of all kernel versions and completing the total space in /boot partition.

      I have tried following the yum.conf in the patch analysis configuration.

      [main]

      debuglevel=2

      logfile=/var/log/yum.log

      pkgpolicy=newest

      keepcache=0

      exactarch=1

      tolerant=1

      obsoletes=1

      plugins=1

      gpgcheck=1

      bootloader=1

      installonly_limit=3

      Target System yum Configuration

      [main]

      cachedir=/var/cache/yum/$basearch/$releasever

      keepcache=0

      debuglevel=2

      logfile=/var/log/yum.log

      exactarch=1

      obsoletes=1

      gpgcheck=1

      plugins=1

      installonly_limit=3

      But the patch analysis is still showing the same result with all the packages.
