Are you talking about the Web GUI Telnet/SSH session?
Have you tried:
1) logging out of the GUI
2) clear the browser cache
3) close / reopen the browser
Yeah - the Web GUI Telnet/SSH Session
When we access it as a user that is in the Administrators group we get that Security Violation message
The session is connected but we are getting that permissions issue
We have in fact logged out of the GUI
We cleared the browser Cache
We re-opened the browser
launched the session and get the following error:
You cannot view the requested page or perform the requested action. Verify that your login privileges allow you to access the page or perform the action.
Note that your session has not timed out and you have not accidentally "double clicked" any of the active buttons.
seems like there is some level of conflict in permissions. The user account I am using is an "Administrator" - seems odd
Did you alter the Administrator role permissions? The system rights should be "Select all" .

There is a known defect that affected Telnet SSH session on Firefox browser.
Workaround would be to use other flavor of browser.
Resolution would be to upgrade to latest version of TSNA or at least apply latest hotfix of the version you are on.
