We have a similar problem with our version 19.08 (and I hoped it's been resovled in 19.11). Can someone please share if there is a workaround for this or if this is fixed in 20.02 maybe?

We closed our support case last week.
In the end we did nothing but toggle and save the checkbox for Crossref-Blank-Password, delete the lock/timestamp/log-files and then rerun the sync script.
After a few restarts and iterations it suddenly worked. It seems the functionality is flaky - not feeling too happy about that.
Thanks for the info. Seems like this a buggy.
