That's the best path. Install new on 2019 Server and then migrate data from old database to the new one using the Migration Tool.
I had no issues using the migration tool. It worked well for me.
Thank you. We are using the migration tool. One problem is if you run it twice it creates a duplicate account. Also, I'm going in an deleting all old tickets. Thanks for the reply.
In the next release of Track-It!, we will be delivering a significantly improved Migration utility. What is your timeline for migration? Perhaps holding off until the new release might be your best plan of attack?
Just to clarify, I believe some on this thread are referring to the 11.4 to 20xx migration tool and some are referring to the script to move Track-It! 11.4 data from one 11.4 server to another. I believe, although I could be mistaken, that the OP was asking about a script to migrate 11.4 data from 1 installation of 11.4 to another.
If we are talking about moving 11.4 data from 1 install of 11.4 to another install of 11.4, there is a backup utility and a Move/Copy batch file script that can be used to do that.
If we are talking about moving 11.4 data to the new 20xx version, there is a migration tool available for that as well which can be downloaded from our download portal.
