the tags are only available in the agent config, why would you need the tags in a slot in an event? they are visible in TSPS on the managed devices page.
but maybe you could write a rule that is executing some pconfig command to get the TAG variables and then refine the event to the parsed tags
Hi Roland Pocek,
Tag information in event baroc would help me to create collectors in operations console. Suppose if I have 10 Customers with 100 servers each, each server will be given a tag with specific customer code.
Instead of creating collectors based on the server list(which can be dynamic) i was thinking to make use of tags.
Thank you for the suggestion, I will see if a rule can be written to get tag variable

From TSPS you can create a Infrastructure policy which agent selection criteria is based on Agent Tag.
And within the same policy a Server "Agent in a Monitored Group" policy.
The Agents having the tag will automatically be part of this group and the group will automatically be created if it doesn't exist. And you will view the events associated to the Agents from the group..
In TSPS since you don't have the event Collectors as you had it in BIX or BPPM console, you can use this workaround to associate tagged Patrol Agents to Device Group.
In my case the tag AAL is configured in Patrol Agent configuration as explained above by Roland and I want all the Agents having this tag be included into /AAL group as bellow :
You can then view the group and the events associated to the Agents part of the group would appear as bellow :
Thank you suggesting this solution. This will definitely help if we use TSPS console to view event data. Since we are using Truesight Operations Console to view and manage events, I wanted the collectors to be created in Ops view.
