      Hello

      If a CRQ on ''Scheluded status'' need to move for 24 hours for X reasons, why do we need to cancel it and recreate all the tasks?

      How can we change the date, without cancel it?

          Well, the question how far to lock down a change request in different statuses is always a tricky topic.

          In general, fields are locked down, because prior review and approvals are based on certain values (e.g. schedule), and if suddenly the details of the change request are changing, then prior approval may no longer be applicable. So, in your case, if the change is delayed, isn't there a valid case to state that this should go back to approval?

          We're trying to strike a balance between locking down some important fields of the change request, while not completely restricting updates. We have heard other enhancement requests to lock down fields even more.

              Just in case you still wish to be able to postpone change without restarting the whole cycle, it is relatively simple to allow members of particular group to reschedule already scheduled change at any point after schedule approval by modifying Run If Qualification of one active link (CHG:CRQ:SchedStart_EndDate_ReadOnlyAfterApproval) and one filter (CHG:CRQ:LockSchedDatesAfterApproval).  Both workflow elements use the following qualification (qualification in filter contains some more elements to identify change of Scheduled Start Date or Scheduled End Date, this is just the part relevant to suggested modification):

              (

                   'Change Request Status' >= "Scheduled" AND

                   'Change Request Status' != "Pending" AND

                   'Change Request Status' != "Rejected"

              ) OR (

                   'Change Request Prev Status' >= "Scheduled" AND (

                        'Change Request Status' = "Pending" OR

                        'Change Request Status' = "Rejected"

                   )

              ) OR (

                   'Active Approval' = "Yes" AND

                   'Change Request Status' != "Rejected"

              )

              If you add checking group membership (e.g. if you wish to allow administrators to make changes, replace <group number> with 1), those will keep fields unlocked and allow saving changes.

              (

                   (

                        'Change Request Status' >= "Scheduled" AND

                        'Change Request Status' != "Pending" AND

                        'Change Request Status' != "Rejected"

                   ) OR (

                        'Change Request Prev Status' >= "Scheduled" AND (

                             'Change Request Status' = "Pending" OR

                             'Change Request Status' = "Rejected"

                        )

                   ) OR (

                        'Active Approval' = "Yes" AND

                        'Change Request Status' != "Rejected"

                   )

              ) AND

              NOT

                   $GROUPID$ LIKE "%;<group number>;%"
