Main point when installing BCM on linux with Oracle database is to have the Oracle client installed on your linux system : be carefull you need to install it with same architecture as BCM Master. If you plan to install BCM 64 bit Master then be sure to install the Oracle Client in 64 bits too.
Basically once database is created on database server, you have to create a link to your database in the Oracle client tnsnames.ora configuration file and set up BCM to connect to database through the alias you have created in the Oracle client tnsnames.ora file.

Can we use shared oracle client? means the oracle client has been installed on some other server and it's been shared. FYI I am able to connect DB using sqlplus.
