If you create your request using AIF, maybe you can achieve your requirement, once the AIF is a form and you can code it to call an integration before send the request
Unfortunately we do not use any AIF. All of the SRD's are standard and more over our instance only have DWP Basic.
I don't know how you (plan to) integrate with Forcepoint DLP, but I do have a few ideas how you might be able to force timely check:
- if possible, add workflow triggered when attachment is selected or when SRD is supposed to be submitted and use it to verify whether attachment should be accepted
- maybe LJ LongWing's plugin Virus scanning attachments BEFORE they are inserted into the Remedy Database. can be modified to help
- add approval to SRD if there is none there already (or add pre-approval phase to current approval process) and have Forcepoint DLP act as its approver -- this may be the weakest solution because it would have to end with deletion of already stored attachment
Apart from effort necessary to actually develop plug-in used to validate attachments, integrating it into AR server should be pretty simple, as described in Setting security restrictions on file uploads - Documentation for Remedy Action Request System 18.08 - BMC Documentation.
