          Avinash,

The first section of any MIB file contains a list of dependent MIBs. This section is labeled IMPORTS in the MIB file. The MIB file you are trying to import - CISCO-ENTITY-FRU-CONTROL-MIB is dependent on the CISCO-SMI MIB file. You need to locate the CISCO-SMI-MIB file and place that into the [ENTUITY_HOME]/lib/mibs directory on the Entuity server. You will then be able to load the CISCO-ENTITY-FRU-CONTROL-MIB.

Cisco has an FTP site where they host all of their MIB files. You can find it there. The FTP location is:

          ftp://ftp.cisco.com/pub/mibs/v2

            Hi Larry,

We have loaded the MIB but we are not able to see the Event details for Unknown trap which raised for FAN TRAY Removal.

            Any suggestions?

            Thanks!!!!

              Avinash,

Once the MIB is loaded, the incoming trap should not display as unknown. Anytime you load new MIBs, you must deploy the EMS project. Please insure that you have followed the proper procedure for this. From the Event Management page, select Traps. Then select Manage MIBS. Load the appropriate MIB file and check the box to create events. In the Events tab, change the severity of the traps you want to receive to something other than informational. By default, all imported trap events have a severity level of informational. Once you have modified the severity level of the relevant traps, save and deploy the EMS project.
