    Must clear the cache of the browser after upgrading Track-IT 20.19.03?

      Hello all!!

       

      We just upgraded Track-IT to 20.19.13! Woohoo

      Right after the upgrade, we had some technicians that could not create tickets.  The SAVE TICKET button was not doing anything, there was no errors, no pop-ups and not even a spinning wheel to tell us it's thinking or it's doing something!  We decided to clear the cache, cookies and history. Re-launch the application and magically they were able to create tickets again!

       

      Being a curious person... What caused this to happen?  Is this something developers can fix on future releases?

          This has been a curious issue indeed. To be completely honest, we have tried all sorts of industry recommended ways of forcing this cache to clear when updates are installed and they all work a bit but not fully in certain situations. We have a few more changes coming over the next couple releases to hopefully nail this once and for all. Thanks for your patience while we nail this one down. Seems like "Clearing the cache" is the "Reboot your computer" for Web Applications.
