How  can I aply the existing MRL refine rules to the past events (received at the time when such MRL refine rules did not exist). The events were triggered by mails coming from an external portal. Thank you!

          Hi Sergiu,

MRL rules are triggered in one of three ways:

          1. Arrival of a new event at the cell.
          2. Modification of a slot of an existing event.
          3. Expiration of a timer (previously set by a rule).

Not all rule types can be triggered in all 3 ways. For example, Refine rules are only triggered by the arrival of a new event. There is no way that I know of to trigger a refine rule and have it update existing events. The are other rule phases that can update existing events, for example the New and Execute phases.

It's also possible to update existing events using the cell command line utilities msetmsg and mposter. If your goal is to add data to existing events, you could use these utilities.

If you provide more details on what you're trying to do, I might be able to recommend a solution.

          Regards,

          Brendan
