Will it be possible to share armonitor and ardebug log files here.
Will it be possible to check if there is any arserver process running in background which is not stopped.
If windows check on task manager or if this is unix check using ps -ef|grep java
there might be some process running at background which was not stopped and getting this error.
Or you can check using netstat command to check what process is using port 7311 and try to kill that and check.
Can you please post installation logs here?
and please attach ar monitor and ar conf files as well.

Hi, You should be able to narrow down the application, which is consuming the port 7311, and if that is not useful , you can stop the process and attempt to restart AR Services. If not, you can see, whether the change in the ARMonitor RMI Port change helps to resolve the port conflict -
- Stop ARS
- Navigate to file , <>\BMC Software\ARSystem\ARMonitor.properties and update the com.bmc.arsys.armonitor.RMIPort variable to different port
- Start ARS
Now, armonitor process should not look for already consumed port and will pick up the provided port.
We have updated the port number for com.bmc.arsys.armonitor.RMIPort in <>\BMC Software\ARSystem\ARMonitor.properties to different port like 8311 and it starts working
