      Hi,

After upgrade my BCM Master 12.7.2 (180813o) to 12.75.5 (190515j), when we try to update from PACKAGES -> CLIENT MANAGMENT UPGRADE the client agents they failed the upgrade.

      The error log is:

      2019/07/26 18:06:43 Winx64Upgrade    ERR Could not find '$SCRIPTS/preinstall.chl' script in the archive file 'C:/Program Files/BMC Software/Client Management/Client/data/OperationalRules/packages/winx64.cst/c6e5f86e8ef1222a111eb3d7b307522a/winx64.zip'

We want use the manual upgrade the agents for test, and not the automatically upgrades.

      Someone can help me ?

      Thank you,

          Antonio Batista,

You must use the Op Rule and not just the package.  If you open up the Operational Rule Module Folder and look for the default folder called "Client Management OneOff…  These will be organized by OS Type.  To manually apply the upgrade you must assign the Op Rule to a device with same OS...  Once you assign and if you have not modified your settings the op rule will automatically run on the schedule, run once and execute once.

It should take less than 10 minutes, once assigned for the rule to be marked completed.

Let us know if this gets you over the hump...

BTW - If you already have devices assigned to this rule, you must unassign all that previously ran so these objects can run again.  This is especially important if you elect to turn on the Automated function to upgrade in Global Settings > System Variables | Connection Management Tab.
