      Hi,

Recently we implemented the /RESET command for CSM objects.

For this purpose, we added a new command rule with text id ‘/RESET’ that calls the CSMACT exec.

This command changes the CSM objects desired state according to the downtime definition of the object.

Now we would like to implement the /SYNC command for CSM objects that have failed or abended status.

Please let us know if CSMSTAT is the exec that we need to use to change the CSM object’s actual state

according to the downtime definition of the object.

Like the /RESET command, we plan to add a new command rule with text id ‘/SYNC’ to call the required EXEC.

          Hi Raaji

CSM is documented in the MainView AutoOPERATOR Solutions Guide manual.  If you are doing this from a Rule, you will need to figure out how to know when CSMSTAT ends, so that you can do CSMSCAN.  We would recommend that you write your own EXEC that does IMFEXEC SELECT EXEC(CSMSTAT) WAIT(YES) and then IMFEXEC SELECT EXEC(CSMSCAN) WAIT(YES).  The WAIT(YES) will ensure that the EXECs occur in the right order.

If you require any further clarification or have additional questions, please open a  support case for MainView AutoOPERATOR.  Support will be more than happy to assist.

          Regards

          Simon
