This sounds very much like a defect for which we are already in the process of creating a hotfix. Please open up a support ticket so they can confirm and if so link your case to the defect so you will be notified with the hotfix is available.
FYI, you're experiencing the symptoms of defect DRZNZ-5533. We are also awaiting the hotfix Eric is referring to.
Can you please notify me when that fix is available and where to get it since I can’t create a ticket at BMC?

How can I view the defects? I tried checking at Case Management - BMC, but wasn't able to locate DRZNZ-5533 since it appears to be only searching tickets that were put in by me or someone within my organization.
I know the definition of Hotfix for other companies. What is BMC's definition?
Hi Stacey Kerr,
I'm not sure what you mean by "definition", but typically a hotfix for FootPrints is a reference to a small-single issue update to the product that has been delivered outside of the standard release cadence. These are not meant for widespread distribution as they cannot be tested to the level of a full product release. As such, they are typically only offered to customers who log tickets expressing the symptoms the hotfix is designed to address.
As per Cheryl's original post, we are seeing repeated displaying of the 'Please wait...' animation on any action which updates on-screen data (e.g. refreshing a view, swapping between view tabs, opening a ticket, etc). The behaviour is very distracting, to the point where we are concerned from an OH&S perspective for our service desk users (and other heavy users of Footprints).
Sound like a same issue where a Hotfix is available with Support.

I agree with Manish... this does sound like the same issue. allan hong, your best bet it to reach out to support and describe your symptoms. If they determine the issue is the one improved by the hotfix, they will provided it to you. Note that this hotfix does not fully resolve the issue, but it significantly improves it. The final resolution will be part of an upcoming full release of the product.
Thanks Eric, I've gone ahead and opened a ticket with support to see if this issue matches the symptoms in the defect.
We have upgraded to 20.18.03 from 12.1.09 in our test & dev. environments. And after reading this post, got the hotfix from the support. Screen flickering has been reduced from 4-5 times to 2 times when you change from one tab to another tab. And FootPrints loads faster after the hotfix update. But one of the significant issue we are still facing is, when you try to change the assignee of the ticket to someone else, it spins anything between 21-60+ times. Sometimes even after changing the assignee, it keeps on spinning. We have to refresh the screen to get out of it & loose the changes we made on the ticket.
