It is difficult to say just which attributes and metrics will be most valuable to your environment. I did see that the majority of the available KM parameters are not enabled by default, which to me means that the KM team has allowed the most important attributes to be turned on by default.
I would also recommend adding the KM and monitor the systems with it for a week or two and watch the attributes and their metrics, which ones are stable and consistent? Which ones are more erratic and change frequently? It would be up to you determine what is most important for your environment.
I find that using the BMC Parameter Reference database to search for the specific KM - PATROL for Apache Tomcat and Generic Java Server 3.1.00 helps to see all of the attributes/parameters available and provides descriptions of what is being monitored. This may help you determine which ones you want to watch in your environment. To find the Parameter Reference Database, click either of the links below:
You can search for many BMC Solutions to find more specifics on the attributes available.
Otherwise, we would want to see if anyone else in the Community has any recommendations for the attributes and metrics which were most valuable to them when using the PATROL for Apache Tomcat and Generic Java Server 3.1.00.
I hope that helps. Thanks for using PATROL for Apache Tomcat and Generic Java Server 3.1.00!
