This is quite interesting. Honestly I newer tried to configure midtier to access the DWPC. I always use the old User Tool to access that.
The DWPC ARS Installation is somehow specific (9.5) and it could be (and it looks like) some things are missing there.
I get the same error trying to configure that.
But I agree there should be some other way to access the DWPC ARSystem as User tool Anybody else tried ?

I ran into the same issue when I tried with MT 18.08 (or 18.05, I don't recall exactly). I deployed a 9.1.04 MT then access was fine.
Andreas you're right. I just tried with Midtier 9.1.04.
However I'm afraid this will not be very useful. At least for me I cannot see the forms from the other server on the Object List and when I try to access e.g. the User form (which exist for sure on the DWPC server) I get authentication error.
The DWPC AR Server is specific. Maybe a dedicated Midtier which will have only that one configured also in General Setting of midtier can work buut I have not Midtier to test with
I assume you have set authentication server to your regular AR server in your MT?
I think you can workaround that authentication error, by having same DWP userid/login id in your regular AR Server aswell (just create the hannah_admin@... user and also the BMC_DWP_USER with the same pwd)
But yes dedicated MT is preferable, unless you have RSSO integration for DWP Catalog & the "regular" AR Server, then both servers should work in one midtier.
depending on how you log into DWP Catalog will determine what you can and cannot see i.e. remembering here there is a "system" and "tenant" DB, and they are separate DB's.
It is recommended to have a separate Mid Tier for DWP Catalog, and this is documented as such on the WIKI. Remembering here there are different configurations required across the apps when using RSSO i.e. the "ignore-tenant = true" setting.
The is nothing that I have found that you need a dedicated Mid Tier for if you can access the DWP Catalog system via the User Tool.

I ran into this yesterday. It's a confirmed defect with the later MT's. Use the command line interface to do all of the configurations you need to do.
I also try on version mid 19.02. it's the same error. Please recommendation for this version mid which should use or is there any way to fix it?
