Has anyone used the restore_host_config utility to change SQL database connection from port 1433 to another port?

I have been told that I need to change port 1433 to a different port for Control-M to connect to SQL database. Support refered me to article 139483 which uses the restore_host_config utility.  Has anyone else had to make this change?  Trying to understand what is all required when running the utility.  IE. On Windows - restore_host_config -reconf_db -port 1234
