are you using port 5500 on connection in Dev studio? Dev studio does not go through midtier, its direct connection on the tcp port (5500) you have define for AR server.
Thats correct. Midtier is connected via 8080 and i am using 5500 to connect to ARServer using developer studio.
I mentioned midtier is to indicate that AR Server is up and running with out any issues and there is no firewall which is blocking for 8080.
Hence my query is why developer studio is not able to connect to ARServer using 5500.
Is it something i am missing.
What is the exact error message that you're seeing?
Do you have the Remedy 7.6.04 User tool any chance? Can that connect successfully?
Have you tried the AR server's IP address, short name and FQDN?
When i tried connecting using developer studio: used IP address to connect.
Server 22.214.171.124 reports: ERROR (90): Cannot establish a network connection to the AR System server; Connection timed out: connect 126.96.36.199:5500, 5060,
when i tried connecting using user tool:
ARERR Cannot establish a network connection to the AR System server : 188.8.131.52 : RPC: Miscellaneous tli error - System error (Socket error - 10060)
In your ar.cfg file, what are set for these parameters?
Please find the details below.
I have tried restarting with port mapper enabled as well. I see same result. Like i am able to connect using midtier and not using developerstudio or user tool.

Sorry I should have asked for this parameter instead:
From the machine where your developer studio, are you able to telnet to the AR server?
telnet <AR_server> 5500
telnet 184.108.40.206 5500
Telnet is not working to the port 5500.
We hosted our servers in AWS Cloud.
We are not able to ping this server from my local. However i could access this server through http port (8080) but not though TCP port (5500).
I have shut down firewall and opened iptables to all ports from anywhere. Still i see the same issue.

Unfortunately, this sounds more like a network issue than an issue with the Remedy server. If a telnet test won't work, you would need to sort that out first to establish connectivity on Port 5500.
