if you can create the CRQ from the incident itself then you can explore the concept behind that and could implement the same in WO as well.
I'm the Change Manager, so I am only going by what I'm being told by the team that supports Remedy. It would make sense that it would be an OOTB function to create a CRQ from a work item (or even a task for that matter). I was just curious if BMC had made any effort to have this be an OOTB feature.
I suspect not.
Work Order was an application supplied with SRM originally for fulfilment where the system did not require ITSM, so it could be installed standalone and thus why there was limited integration with ITSM at the time.
I suspect that this was not big on the BMC radar, and thus never got any traction to implement.
As mentioned, you can implement this feature by mimicking the INC > Change functionality, I am sure I have done this in the past and it was not that bad to implement (as basic fields are being transferred, etc)
