The version 1.9.50 is 3 years old. The Hardware Sentry KM has evolved a lot since then and the latest version 10.1.01 is capable of performing even better.
And to answer your question, the number of devices or hosts that can be monitored reply on various attributes like the type of the device, the protocol used and the connector detection method used in the configuration. If the monitoring involves SNMP you can monitor hundreds of devices from a single Patrol Agent. If it uses WMI or WBEM the sizing needs to be done based on the configuration of the device being monitored.
Can you give more details about the types of the devices that you wish to monitor?
Dear Razeem ,
So far I dont have exact details of the server to be monitored ,
Is there a place where it is documented (how to calculate the sizing) .
The Hardware Sentry KM supports hundreds of different types of devices through different protocols with varying number of parameters. So, it is highly impossible to document the sizing.
Let me get the exact details of the server model and then may get back .
