I'm not sure if this answers your questions, but there are a couple of relevant documentation topics:
- Optimizing BMC Remedy Smart Reporting performance - Documentation for Remedy IT Service Management Suite 18.08 - BMC Doc…
- BMC Remedy Smart Reporting 18.08 performance benchmark configuration settings - Documentation for Remedy ITSM Deployment…
Would you like me to move your question to the Remedy ITSM area? That's where you'll find experts who can answer questions beyond what's in the docs.
I was searching the solution for you and came to know by smart Reporting (YellowFin) experts response.
"Please be aware of is that session timeout is not a Yellowfin feature, it is Apache Tomcat, this means that if it turns out to be a bug then Yellowfin developers can't fix it."
***As far as tomcat session timeout goes, you can set to 0 or -1 to never timeout.
Smart Reporting is an web application hosted on web server (Apache Tomcat) and sessions are managed by web servers so its Tomcats setting you need to override.
Session timeout can be set from modifying property value in web.xml, Default is 90 mins but you can override it as per your requirement. In case you need it to be infinite the set it to 0 But thats not something we recommend.
Navigate to <SR_Install_Dir>/appserver/webapps/ROOT/WEB_INF and open web.xml file
Search for below tag
Modify the session-timeout parameter as per needed and restart Smart Reporting Service in order to take changes in effect.
