This thread may help: What user permission are required for PATROL user on UNIX/Linux servers
Also some documentation about installing on UNIX: Installing in UNIX environment - BMC PATROL Agent 10.7 - BMC Documentation
Thanks for the info! The agent successfully installed and restarted after security scripts execution via sudo account.
Port 3181 is accessible via telnet, but agent is not visible in the TrueSight console. Windows servers installed previously are visible in the console.
Please could you advise what should we check to make the agent visible?
Thank you in advance!
Did you set your integrationservices variable? Typical port is 3183 /AgentSetup/integration/integrationServices
Yes, I set it during preparation of the deployable package (tcp:server_name:3183)
OK, and your integration server specified in server_name is connected to your TrueSight Console? In your patrol agent log, when the agent starts up, do you see that it is successfully connecting to this integration server?
Yes, integration server is connected to TrueSignt Console and I can see other Windows Patrol agents connected, but not this ubuntu agent.
Patrol agent log says:
