CMDB Audits for Assets How to edit Attributes in BMC.CORE:BMC_BaseElement class BMC Remedy 8.1

I need to audit some attributes in Assets using CMDB Audits function

To do that I used Atrium Core -> Atrium Core Console -> Class Manager -> BMC_BaseElement -> BMC_Computer System class. On General
Tab I set Audit Type = Log, Audit Log Form = CMDB:DefaultAuditLog.

On Attributes tab there are 3 classes

BMC.CORE:BMC_BaseElement contains Attributes I needed to Audit, but I can’t edit these Attributes

The second class BMC.CORE:BMC_ComputerSystem has no Attributes I needed, but I can add new or edit existing Attributes

I can’t add a new Attribute I needed to the BMC.CORE:BMC_ComputerSystem class, because it already exists in the first BMC.CORE:BMC_BaseElement class, that I can’t edit. I also can’t remove Attributes from the BMC.CORE:BMC_BaseElement class.

So, any Attribute can be present in one class only:

      • In BMC.CORE:BMC_BaseElement class where I have Attributes I needed, but I can’t edit or remove it
      • Or in
BMC.CORE:BMC_ComputerSystem class in which I can edit attributes, but I can’t have duplicated Attributes in BMC.CORE:BMC_BaseElement class or BMC.CORE:BMC_ComputerSystem class.

      My questions are

      • How to edit Attributes in the BMC.CORE:BMC_BaseElement class or

      • How to move attributes from BMC.CORE:BMC_BaseElement class to the BMC.CORE:BMC_ComputerSystem class where I can edit them or

      • Can I update Attributes for the BMC.CORE:BMC_BaseElement class directly in data base?

      Thank you,
