    Using Parent Categories

      Question for those of you using parent categories: In this example I am showing 4 parent categories: Hardware, Mainframe, Software (super parent) and Microsoft Office. I have exposed Hardware, Software and Microsoft Office in order to show the children.

      As parent categories must first be categories, they can be selected in the Category field on Incident without using the lookup to get to the tree. I’d rather that parents not be able to be selected at all. Is that possible?

      The same is true in self service when creating a ticket yet worse as the category tree is not even available at all.
