It depends on your version of smart it, if you are using 2.x then you can add actions and open the ci in midtier.

We have tried this on a similar requirement in version 1.6 and this is how it was done -
Made a Link available under "More" on the Asset View . Steps -
Smart IT >> Configuration >> Screen Configuration >> Asset View >> Add/Remove Actions >> Add Action >>
- Action Type = Client-side URL
- Enter URL = https://<midtier>/arsys/forms/<arserver>/SHR:LandingConsole/Default+Administrator+View/?mode=search&F304255500=AST:BaseElement&F1000000076=FormOpen&F303647600=SearchTicketWithQual&F304255610='179'="[instanceId]"
