Irena Zaidman, when it comes to getting data from relational databases, there are so many different ways to extract the data that we believe it's best to leave the method of extraction up to you. For example, with Microsoft SQL Server, it's possible to generate a Powershell script to query and even manipulate the data. Or, if you are more comfortable, you can use osql.exe. Then you can either write or send the data to disk, stdout of a script, or to ITDA over HTTP/S, TCP, or UDP.
Most DBA teams have preferred methods for this sort of thing.

We are indeed very experienced in getting data from relational DBs. Just wondered if BMC had any best practice/recommendation for that.
