    Provisioning Linux VM on VMware

    Apurva Girme

      Hello All,

We are trying to provision Linux VM on VMware. But we are not having any test (LAB) environment for it.

If we try in Production environment, will there be any impact on it?

We don't know what processes running in background of our VMware environment, so let us know whether it restarts/start/stop any agent or processes/services?

What precautions we should take while implementing this?

Will it affect all VMs on Vcenter server?how?

with bsa ?  directly in vmware ? clone ?  pxe boot ?  how ?

why not ? seems like you should have a test environment to test things out that you haven't done before right ?

impact on what ?  if you don't know what you are doing you could destroy your entire vmware environment.

why do you think you need to restart anything to get whatever it is you are trying to do working ?

get a test env.  read the docs.  test out what's in the docs in the test env.

who knows.  depends if you understand what you are doing or not.
