Can you check the Reconciliation logs? That would tell you why it wasn't identified.
You should also look at the NormalizationStatus of the record in the ADDM dataset. Not all NormalizationStatus values are processed by Reconciliation.
To identify and merge only CIs that have been successfully normalized, enable Process normalized CIs only.
The Reconciliation Engine processes CIs with the following status:
- Normalized and Approved
- Not Applicable For Normalization
- Normalized and Not Approved
For more information, see Normalization status.
Uncheck the use standard rules. And add the qualification for Merge as well. Also can you please see if the CI is identified or not.
I unchecked 'Use standard rules'. The qualification was already for Merge activity and the CI in my qualification is identified (reconID generated). I got the same result, my targeted CI is not move to BMC.ASSET dataset.
What can go wrong? Am I proceding correctly? Any of you were able to target a specific CI or Class to take part of reonciliation activity in order to be moved to the golden dataset? It's really Weird.
Thank you for your help!
One thing i just noticed in the screenshots that in the qualification there is a space between " and the serial number at the start and the end. Can you please go into the qualification check allow manual edit, and remove those spaces. I think its not working because when the qualification says 'serialNumber' = " XXXX " recon is looking for <space>XXXX<Space>.
