Reaching out to the wider audience to check if someone has implemented Control-M EM V 9.0.18 with Oracle databases on 2 different hosts with dataguard between the databases.
We are planning to implement Control-M EM v9.0.18 with HA and pointing to Oracle databases with dataguard where one host/db servers as Primary and the other host/db as DR.
The specific question is :
Will EM application support use of tnsnames.ora ( connection settings) with load balance on and failover on ( sample tnsnames.ora below)
(CONNECT_TIMEOUT = 3)
(TRANSPORT_CONNECT_TIMEOUT = 2)
(RETRY_COUNT = 3)
(LOAD_BALANCE = ON)
(FAILOVER = ON)
(ADDRESS = (PROTOCOL = tcp)(HOST = PRIMARYHOST)(PORT = 1521))
(ADDRESS = (PROTOCOL = tcp)(HOST = DRHOST)(PORT = 1521))
(SERVICE_NAME = CTM_SERVICE)
I have been told that there are java processes within EM which do not use the tnsnames.ora settings so wanted to check if a similar configuration has been applied on other sites.
Hi, we have recently upgraded to V9018.100 running on oracle 12c and on Solaris 11. My server HA is working from CCm however we had issues with EM failover.
