Upgrading ARS from 8.1 to 9.1.04 results in the pluginsvr_config.xml file having the following value for the plugin port setting:
Literally, the text "PLUGINPORT". Clearly, that's not a valid value and the errors in the ARS startup logs reflect that. Prior to the upgrade it had a valid value ('9999'), and everything was working.
Have any of you had that happen before and did you find what was causing the installer to do that?
It's easy enough to just set it back to 9999, but there are other plugin server issues and so I'm not sure the installer is handling the initial setup correctly. We've gone through several attempts with BMC Support and haven't been able to find the issue. They aren't able to reproduce it on their systems either. Both in 2016 and 2017, when we tried to do the upgrade before with 9.0.1 and 9.1.02 (the OS was Windows 2008 then), this same thing happened, so it doesn't seem like it's a new issue.
